    The fair trading act promotes correct consumer guarantee before you buy something. This affects me and everyone in this country as it is a law and it protects us from scammers that say their products are not what they are.

A NZ government agency that enforces legislation and prohibits people from using fake
advertising, scams and other things that may be illegal to do when trading something.

It applies to everything. It is a act that stops people from being able to deceive people
\when they sell something

The business must put themselves into the consumers shoes and think about how their product
may or may not benefit the people

The commission is empowered to  “legal requirements that an organization has to
comply with and other requirements that an organization has to or chooses to comply with


Reporting a business



1. If you need to report a business, how do you do this?
If you need to make a complaint about a business's product that you think is not up to your standards
you can make a complaint to the Commerce Commission. They can talk to the business that you have a
problem with and they can get the business sorted out.
