Today to Festival of the Arts we sand the Circle of Life.
I learnt today to express myself and vocal warm ups. I didn't know something that I found out today and I'm glad I know them now. One thing I didn't know was that the start of the song is in Afrikaans. Im wondering what sort of thing we are going do for the costumes.

introduced species
What does "Introduced Species" mean?
Introduced species that are living outside of their natural habitat and were brought to a different place.
Why were they brought to NZ?
They were brought to N.Z in the early 1800's by the Europeans.
Why have their numbers exploded?
When they saw that there were no preadators and plenty of food for them to eat they bred and spread wall over the country
What affect do they have on native plants and animals?
Introduced species have a huge affect on our native plants and animals. They eat flightless birds eggs out of their nests on the ground, they ruin our leaves and trees. This means that some of our natives are dying and/or going extinct.
How is the DOC (Department of Consevation)
- How are stoats and weasels effecting our native things?
They eat the eggs of our native birds which means that our birds are slowly going extinct.
- What control methods are being used?
Traps and 1080 poison is being used for control

Kidney stones
Kidney stones are caused by a build-up of crystal-forming substances in the urine. The substances can be calcium, oxolate and uric acid.Sometimes your urine can lack the things it need to stop them sticking together, causing kidney stones. These liquids can cause a lot of discomfort in the kidney area. The ways that they can come out is if you poop them out,you drink lots of fluids like water and if they don't pass then you might need to schedule a removal procedure.
